Questions & answers
Bridal deposits, on-location visits, early starts, groups, trials and the kit. Can't find your answer? Email us or message us on WhatsApp and we'll reply within a day.
Booking
How do I book?
Go to Book, choose your service, how many people and where you're getting ready, then tap a free time. You'll get an email straight away with your booking code and how to pay the deposit.
How far ahead can I book?
Up to a year ahead — weddings often are — and at least 4 hours before the appointment, so there's time to send your deposit.
What should I book for my wedding?
Most brides book a Bridal trial (hair & makeup) first, then Bridal hair & makeup for the day. Several events? A bridal package covers the trial and up to four events for less. Not sure yet? Book a Free consultation, at the studio or by video call.
Can I send reference photos?
Please do. Paste a link in the Reference photos box when you book (Pinterest, Instagram or a shared album), or bring screenshots to your trial.
Bridal deposits & balance
How much is the bridal deposit?
30% of the price, which holds your date. It's non-refundable, but if you reschedule at least 24 hours ahead it moves to the new date.
When is the rest due?
7 days before the event. We'll remind you by email and text 7 days and 3 days before, with a link to pay the balance by card or instructions for e-Transfer.
I'm getting married in less than a week.
Congratulations, and yes, we can often help. Because the balance would already be due, bridal bookings made less than 7 days ahead are paid in full when you book.
What if the wedding is postponed?
Reschedule from the Manage my booking link in your email at least 24 hours before, and your deposit moves with you. For a date further off, reply to your booking email and we'll find one together. See our booking terms.
Other deposits & paying
How much is the deposit for everything else?
Trials, party, editorial, prom and lessons take a 50% deposit, and the rest is paid at the appointment. Consultations are free and need no deposit.
How do I pay?
By Interac e-Transfer to the email address in your booking email, which takes 3% off the whole appointment, or by card with the Pay by card button (it confirms straight away). For e-Transfers, write your booking code — it looks like GG-7K3QX — in the message so we can match it.
When is the deposit due?
Within 24 hours of booking, or 2 hours before the appointment if that's sooner. If it hasn't arrived by then, the time is released for someone else.
How do I know it arrived?
We confirm by email and text: straight away for card payments, and usually within about 10 minutes of an e-Transfer arriving. Forgot the code in the message? Reply to your booking email and we'll match it by hand.
On location
Do you come to us?
Yes — your home, a hotel suite or the venue. Travel is one fee per booking: $50, the local area, $90 for the surrounding area and $150 beyond it, up to 100 km. The venue address is asked for when you book.
What do you need from us?
A table by a window (daylight is everything), a power outlet close by for our lights, and somewhere to park near the door. If there are stairs, a parking pass or a buzzer code, tell us in the Anything else box.
How do you plan the timing?
Tell us your ready-by time when you book: the photographer's arrival, the baraat, the first look. We'll suggest start times that finish before it, with a little breathing room.
Early starts
Can you start before 7am?
Yes. We're open 7am to 9pm every day, and brides often need to start at 5 or 6. Start times from 5am can be booked online and add a $75 early-start fee, shown before you confirm.
Groups
Can my bridesmaids and family book together?
Yes. Party, prom and photoshoot services take up to six people in one booking (photoshoots up to four), and each extra person adds time. From three people, 10% comes off the service part of the price.
How are add-ons charged for a group?
Per-person add-ons — airbrush foundation, lashes, draping, jewellery & dupatta setting and mehndi — are charged for each person. The touch-up kit and the travel fee are once per booking.
Trials
Do I need a trial?
It isn't compulsory, but we recommend it for every bride. Two hours at the studio: we try the look, photograph it in daylight and flash, and write down every product so the day runs exactly to plan.
When should I book my trial?
Around one to two months before the wedding is ideal: close enough that your outfit and jewellery are decided, far enough to change your mind. Bring photos of your outfit, or wear something in a similar colour.
What does a trial cost?
$150 for hair and makeup, with a 50% deposit that's refunded minus $10 if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Trials are at the studio only.
Skin, allergies & the kit
I have sensitive skin or an allergy.
Tell us in the Allergies or sensitivities box when you book. We'll plan products that suit you, keep to fragrance-free options if you prefer, and can arrange a patch test at the studio a few days before your day.
How do you keep the kit clean?
Brushes are cleaned and sanitised between people. Mascara wands, lip applicators and sponges are single-use, and products are taken out of their pots with a clean spatula, never a finger.
How should I prepare my skin?
Moisturise well for the week before and skip anything new: no fresh facials, peels or waxing in the last few days. Arrive with a clean, moisturised face and hair washed the day before (unless your stylist says otherwise).
Can I bring my own products?
Of course. If there's a foundation or lipstick you love, bring it and we'll work it into your look.
Changes & cancellations
How do I reschedule?
Use the Manage my booking link in your booking email, or go to Manage my booking and enter your email and booking code. You can move your appointment yourself up to 24 hours before it starts, and your deposit moves with it.
What if I need to cancel?
For trials, party, editorial, prom and lessons: cancel at least 24 hours ahead and we refund your deposit minus a $10 fee (to your card, or by e-Transfer if you paid that way). Bridal deposits are non-refundable, but rescheduling keeps them.
Something came up on the day.
Please reply to your booking email or message us on WhatsApp as soon as you can. Changes with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed appointments, mean the deposit is kept.
Packages & points
How do packages work?
Packages bundle several visits — a trial and your events, or a group of guests — for less. They're paid in full and valid for a year. Book each visit with your package code (it looks like GP-7K3QX); a group booking uses one visit per person. Add-ons and travel are paid at the appointment.
Can I cancel a package visit?
A party, prom or lesson visit cancelled at least 24 hours ahead goes back on your package. Bridal package visits can be rescheduled with 24 hours' notice but aren't refunded. Packages themselves can't be refunded.
Do I earn points?
Yes: 1 point for every dollar spent at completed appointments and on packages. Every 100 points is $5 off, taken at the studio. See your points in My account.
Reminders & messages
Will I get a reminder?
Yes, by email and text the day before your appointment.
How do I stop text messages?
Reply STOP to any of our texts. You'll still get emails about your booking.
